A while ago, one of the readers asked me what he could give his girlfriend for her birthday. The problem was that he’s studying in another country and he cannot be there for her birthday.

He was very upset by that and he wanted to send her something special so she could feel close to him even though they are miles apart.

I thought about it and found him a brilliant idea he could use.

Create an exciting personalized greeting card recorded on a CD. 

Just record your own voice and greetings and send it to your special birthday celebrant.

You can record your own personal message; you can speak, sing, kiss, laugh, shout, etc. and even add a sound effect or celebrity greeting. If you have some graphical skills design a personal CD cover.

If you are like me and you don’t really know how to graphically design , go to fiver and find a designer for 5 bucks. When you are done, prepare your CD and ship it by mail to your loved one.

Can you imagine how his girlfriend would feel to receive a nice birthday CD by mail, to open it to see her image on the cover with a loving dedication Hear her beloved boyfriend talking to her and saying how much he loves and misses her?

She would be overwhelmed and feel like he’s there, close to her.

The same goes when you are far away from home 

And want to send something special to your mom’s or dad’s birthday.

Just pick up your voice recorder, say something from your heart, like how much you miss them. If you have other family member with you like their grandchildren, give them the opportunity to greet their nana as well.

Add some music that reminds you of home and for the cover, you can put your mom or dad’s picture with the name of the CD “mom’s vocal orchestra” (or something like that).

The personalized birthday cards makes an amazing idea when your loved one is far away and you want to send him or her, your hugs and kisses so they’ll feel close to you on their special day.
