Money is a little tight this year, but I still wanted to exchange gifts, so I came up with this idea for homemade Christmas slippers

They are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe

I think the ones who got the joke are mostly if not all: women. I was at work when I opened this and couldn't keep my laugh. I had to share it with my co-workers. We all marveled at it. 5 stars and 4 thumbs up - two of them borrowed from my feet!

Ok.. I am laughing so hard that I have to cross my legs (I have four kids so some of you should understand my plight)...maybe use Poise for those of us who need a bladder tack? lol GREAT post!!! That is brilliant. You made me laugh so much. I loved the comments too. I thought that maybe you could consider adding that for the elderly or those unsteady on their feet, you could use the ones with wings, that way the wings could be stuck on the ankles and hey presto! no losing your slippers!!

When I first saw the small clip I thought I must be seeing things, but when I clicked on it, sure enought...

As my title explains...I will be trying this as a practical joke to my mom this year for Christmas. Of course I will make her something else much nicer, but she will get a good laugh out of this. But seriously with the economy the way it is I thought you were serious at first and then realized it was meant to be a joke and was thinking ok I'm not the only one that thinks this is kinda weird but funny,lol. I'm crocheting my mom a scarf though, it's simple, cheap and more meaning full then any other product that costs tons of money and she will have no use for. You can get a lot of ideas on ETSY if you are crafty. Thanks again for the idea!

I don't think it's a bad idea but I think the pads could be covered some how; with material or croche around them some way so people don't know that they are pads. Just a little bit of constructive criticism.

ok i know people are tight, and i'm all for frugal gifts, but slippers made from sanitary towels!!!! this is going too far, i'd rather not get a gift than to recieve a hideous and not to mention ridiculous gift like this one.
