Ok, I know, this is completely cheesy. Regardless, I hope you can still enjoy it, so...

Happy Birthday!

I like you so much (in a completely un-quantifiable way, so don't even ask), and I am very grateful you are in my life.

Yes, it's getting syrupy, but just hold on for a minute. This is the one day of the year where you are obliged to listen graciously while people say nice things about you, so just shut up and take it.

I know flattery makes you uncomfortable, and that you are skilled in the ancient art of self-deprecation, but you really are a great guy. You're sincere, you treat me extremely well, you are always there when I have an emergency, and, although this has no bearing on your character, your nose is really hot.

I sincerely hope your 2009 finishes up as good as it has started. Maybe summer really is coming, after all :)
