Gift Wrapping Ideas:
Wrapping with Manila Envelope

Make beautiful presents using materials around the house or the office with simple and creative gift wrapping ideas and techniques.

In this video, decorating whiz, Amy Snively, demonstrates how to gift wrap a present with a manila envelope.

This one is a little bit complex, but still easy enough to do in a hurry, when you're having a gift emergency.

Learn how to take a simple gift and turn it into a gorgeous present that will make you look like you went to a lot of trouble by wrapping with manila envelope. It's a nice masculine wrap.

Things you'll need:

  • Manila envelope
  • Scotch tape
  • Double-stick tape (Glue stick or scrapbooking tape runner)
  • Hole punch
  • Circle punches (or 2 little washers)
  • Embroidery floss
  • Two brads
  • Red marker
  • Scissors

Notice how Amy cuts open the manila envelope and turn it into wrapping paper, and then she wraps her gift with it.

Next, the embellishments...

To embellish the wrap, Amy uses the envelope flap that she has set aside earlier and glows it along the top of the present using a scrap booking tape runner.

Then she makes little washers using brown construction paper and sticks them on the gift. Her next step is to thread the thread around and add some embroidery floss to make a bow.

For final touch you can just write on the gift with red marker something like "top secret" or what ever you want.
