Origami Crane Bottle

by Sara Khan
(Ontario)

Well, My aunt was moving away, far far away, and she practically raised me. So, I decided why not make her a going away present.

I'm really good with origami cranes and thought she loved them. This is a really cheap idea and in total costs me only $3 but a lot of time. I go to school and have lots of work. So, if i can do it, so can you.

I went to the Dollar Store, which is about everywhere, and bought 2 packets of decorative scrap booking paper and a glass jar. They didn't have origami paper in different textures, so i just got these. I used different shades of purple.

I made about 300 4x4 cranes (yours can be bigger) and put them by layers in a jar. I wrote a poem, printed it on one of the sheets of paper and stuck it inside the jar, covering one wall.

I hope she loves it, which she hopefully will. Make someone's day special, and show them that however busy you are, you'll take the time out to make them something meaningful.
