I was unsure what to get my step father-in-law. He doesn't need clothes or tools. I was in a CVS looking at the gift cards, and noticed an Easter Seals donation card. I had never seen one before and thought it would be a great and unique way to make a donation in his honor.
I bought a $25 card and asked the clerk how it worked. I bought it like any other gift card and when it was scanned, the donation was made. Simple! I bought a gift tin, and also a Dunkin Donuts gift card to include with it.
He loved it, and I felt good about making the donation.

Cake and a Prayer, I think it is the best thing since slice bread (no pun intended about the slices of cake on their website).
I found it online while searching for a unique way to let a love one know I care for them. I really did not want to send flowers, candy or a card. I wanted her to have something more tangible.
Cake and a Prayer has a gift package where the receiver gets a 6- or 10-inch delicious lemon pound along with a scripture or inspirational verse in an elegant frame. (You can also create your message for the frame.)
She loved it. Her 25 year-old son, my nephew died of heartache a couple of months ago. She stills talks about the gift. Awesome gift, www.cakeandaprayer.com!

My dad had this company www.rhymingtributes.com write my mom a poem all about her childhood, and when they met and having us kids and how much we love her. She was crying and crying!
Be creative, hide it in some lame looking gift and then surprise the person when they find the money. exp: one year i got my brother a packet of dental floss and he was sooo disapointed until i told him to pop off the cap and inside he found a twenty.
