I was thinking about you and your birthday and remembering all the times you supported me in what I got myself up to …
So I just want you to know that if you’re going to dress up as a bottle of milk for the nutrition pageant or you want some advice about your love life, I am totally going to be there for you.

Now that I’m older and have started to realize what you were going through with kids and a husband and a household and everything else, I am just so unbelievably grateful …
That you didn’t join the circus or run away to Paris. Thank you and I love you and Happy Birthday.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to realize all that you were able to accomplish as a wife and a mother …
Especially how you accomplished NOT putting us up for adoption, NOT leaving the country, and NOT locking yourself in your bedroom until I turned 21. Thanks, Happy Birthday and remember how much I love and appreciate you.
