BEST friend turning 17 -gift ideas?

my best friend is turning seventeen. it is much like a sweet sixteen though, she has a hall rented and everything. i want to get her something creative, something she'll really like. any ideas? i can't get her any sort of bracelet, i've gotten her those before. she has a girly style mixed with a punk style too. thanks.

Homemade gift for my turning-17 best friend?

One of my closest friends is having her birthday party next week and I really want to make her a present. So, what would a good homemade gift be? I can a fair amount of money on supplies, I just want it to be special.

Or you could make her a cute tote bag with her name, place inside homemade soaps and bath products. (you can find supplies at a craft store).

Another idea is to make her 17 amazing origami flowers, arrange them all like flowers bouquet. For a more personal and unique touch, you could take several skewers and attach to each a small note or a photo of her, add them to the bouquet.
